Fine Art Soft Pastels Workshop with Rebecca Clark Sunday, May 18, 2025, 1-4pm.
If you're fascinated with vibrant color and line work, and want to carve out a few hours on a Sunday afternoon, Becky will introduce you to the immediate gratification of pastel.
This workshop will allow you to experiment while building skill and confidence in your handling of the medium. For beginners and those with drawing experience, the session will include drawing exercises, opportunities to create finished artwork to take home and offers an open environment of sharing knowledge and posing questions with individual attention.
In a very short time span we will touch on some of the most important aspects of mastering pastels beginning with learning about our materials and mark making. We will then move on to shadow and light, a still life, and then end with landscapes.
Several types of paper, all pastels and necessary tools are provided. These workshops are always fun and we all learn from each other. If you have no art experience, or if you're an experienced artist who wants to learn more then this workshop is for you!
