"I consider contrast, the opposition of disparate elements, to be of great visual significance. I try to infuse my work with some contrasting components, such as hues of color, curved and straight lines, hard and soft edges, etc. At times the contrasts are subtle; at other times distinct to the degree of opposite polarities. A sense of unity combined with utility is the overall guiding principle influencing my aesthetic decisions."
