Collection: Jay Brown
Jay Brown is a glass artist currently living and working in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. His artistic approach is simple; have fun with the glass, accept the molten material for what it is, and create a desirable form by the end of the process.
His works are made using a variety of ancient Venetian glass making techniques that have been passed down for centuries. He creates objects that can be used as both decorative and functional works of art. Jay’s blown glass pieces can be found in select galleries and craft shows throughout New England.
"All glass is made by me by hand. Since this glass is made using ancient techniques of forming and shaping, there are few to no molds involved. Each and every piece will vary from one another in some way. Small bubbles, tool marks and other minor blemishes in the glass are to be expected, and welcomed as part of the artistic and handmade process."
