Collection: Deborah Tacy

Born and raised in Florence, MA....transplanted to Ashfield for 40 years and recently moved to Shelburne Falls.

I have loved the thought of creating art since I was a young child and started playing around with photography at age 12.  In 2008, I graduated with honors from an intense year program at the New York Institute of Photography. Since then, I've done weddings here and there, senior portraits, etc. as well as commissioned work for Etta Silversmith in Dennis, MA and Cape Cod Magazine, but my first love is just shooting whatever beauty comes my way.

  I have now been doing photography for about 50 years, from black & white to color processing - I love it all!  I enjoy being eclectic in my subjects and prefer to just be free to photograph what comes along, no matter what the subject happens to be.

 The photo "Shaker Broom" was published in Smithsonian Magazine as one of 50 honorable mention winners out of 33,000 entries, complete with a showing in the American History Museum in DC during one of their contests (2005).
