Carl nardiello, photographerCarl Nardiello

I am a professional photographer known for specializing in high end Asian Art for museums, collectors, galleries, and publications based in New York City. I operated a studio in the photo district of Manhattan (Chelsea/Flatiron) and moved to the Northampton area several years ago.

A recent series of work in the northern Vermont woods was exhibited at the Paul Robeson Art Gallery at Rutgers University in Newark. My work has appeared in numerous periodicals and media as well as fine art catalogs and books.

I exhibited work from "The Connecticut River Series", at two venues in 2015, images that focus on the natural splendor of the Connecticut River Valley. I do not consider myself a traditional landscape photographer, being less interested in dramatic natural events as I am in exploring ordinary moments which can be full of rich textures and inspiring nuance.
Currently I am working on a series of images entitled “Naked Landscapes”. A sampling and explanation of this work can be viewed on my website.
My portfolio “An Artist’s Cottage” is currently being considered for an exhibition, venue to be announced.
Some of the images from a series of panoramic prints from the Pioneer Valley can be viewed below and at Salmon Falls Gallery. This is an ongoing project with new images forthcoming.

My emphasis is on making fine prints, which I print myself in either digital print technology or traditional darkroom techniques. Most of the prints viewable on my website are digitally produced on archival paper using pigment inks, often referred to as Giclée prints, or prints that are made to archival standards.
